Numbers and calling plans
We port your existing numbers and connect Teams to the public phone network through a Microsoft Calling Plan or a carrier through Operator Connect, whichever fits your call volume and budget.
How we do it
- Survey: current numbers, call flows, departments and devices
- Design: auto attendant menus, queues, hours and holiday routing
- Port: move your numbers from your current carrier
- Deploy: licenses, desk phones and the Teams app configured
- Train and support: short training for staff, then ongoing support under your agreement
Security
Teams Phone runs inside your Microsoft 365 tenant, so calls and voicemail inherit your multifactor authentication, retention policies and audit logs.
Frequently asked questions
Can we keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes. We port your main number and direct numbers from your current carrier.
Do we need desk phones?
No, but you can have them. Calls work in the Teams app on computers and mobile phones, and Teams-certified desk phones are available where people want them.
Can Teams Phone replace our old phone system?
Yes. Auto attendant, call queues, voicemail and transfers replace the features of a traditional on-site phone system, with no phone system hardware to maintain.
